Position Overview
WhirlWind Technologies, LLC is seeking an experienced Sr. Cloud Systems Engineer who shall provide design, development, configuration, security, system analysis, and modernization of Management & Domain Services (IMDS) critical services that enable the Census Bureau network to function.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
Designs and implements enterprise infrastructure and platforms required for cloud computing.
Analyzes system requirements and ensures that systems will be securely integrated with current applications.
Has a deep understanding of system development in cloud environments, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
Reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
Education
Minimum BS/BA degree in related field (or equivalent certification, or years of experience)
At least one or more current certification from the list below:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of Cloud proficiency experience
Modernization efforts through Cloud integration
Configure and manage IMDS CI/CD DevOps Pipelines
Serves as the technical lead on special projects
Collaborates with other OCIO teams on key initiatives
