Head, AI Engineering About the Company Accomplished AI strategy & technology firm Industry Information Technology and Services Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Head of AI Engineering to establish and lead the engineering function, with a focus on delivering high-impact AI solutions. This pivotal leadership role involves setting the technical direction, owning and architecting the full tech stack, and building a cross-functional team to deliver high-performance systems for clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and reviewing clean, scalable code, deploying LLM-based systems, and optimizing DevOps pipelines. Additionally, the role includes setting engineering standards, hiring and leading a top-tier team, and collaborating with product, design, and AI researchers to shape the company's technical roadmap and long-term product vision. Candidates for the Head of AI Engineering position should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior technical or leadership role, with a preference for those with a background in a fast-paced or client-facing environment. Strong backend or full-stack development skills, expert-level Python, and hands-on experience with LLMs are essential. A solid grounding in DevOps, including Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms, is required, and experience with RAG, LangChain, or vector databases is a bonus. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead and scale remote engineering teams, a collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset, and a passion for shipping and scaling innovative solutions.
