Job Description:

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field of study preferred

CCNA/CCNP or greater certification is preferred

Cisco Call Manager / WebEx Cloud knowledge is preferred

SIP and Voice routing is preferred

Work Experiences:

10+ years LAN / WAN networking experience including solid understanding of Network and Communication methods

5+ Years Network Firewall Security experience (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet)

Experience with design/maintenance on large WAN/LAN Cisco Network

Experience in management of IP Routing Protocols, including but not limited to EIGRP and BGP

Network Project Management experience

Vendor/Telco Carrier Management Experience

Complete knowledge of OSI Model technology stack

Complete understanding of DNS and DHCP

Complete comprehension of IP Routing (L3), and switching (L2) in a large Corp WAN/LAN architecture

SD-WAN design, support experience – Meraki preferred

Effective Routing Protocol management and configuration

Cloud Architecture, GCP, AWS and Azure preferred

Experience with TCP/IP protocols on a large network preferred

Experience with Wi-Fi protocols and products, Aruba & Meraki preferred

Experience with SD-WAN Technologies – Meraki preferred

Large IP scheme design and deployment

Excellent time management skills, ability to support multiple projects, and effectively manage a large volume of work

Self-motivated, with the ability to meet and exceed position requirements under minimal direction and supervision

Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio

Ability to lead a team and manage projects

Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain network performance

Build network configurations and connections; troubleshoots network problems

IP addressing design and auditing

Establish networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation

Define, document, and enforce system standards.

Maximize performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades

Configure routers, switches, SD-WAN equipment

Collaborate with network architects on network optimization

Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access

Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.

Accomplish information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed

Work with Security and Peers to maintain Enterprise Security

Provide strategy and tactical technical input as to direction and growth in technology changes for enterprise Network

Responsible for change in Network architecture, design and technology changes

Provide network technical consultation on enterprise level projects

Ensure and maintain network infrastructure for expected growth

Maintain configurations of LAN, WAN & WLAN Network Infrastructure

Design, maintain private Cloud connectivity architecture

Maintain all Cloud based network architecture and configurations

Provides 3rd level support for Network related issues

Maintain HA & DR configurations for mission critical network systems

Assist peers in support of Wireless Network Infrastructure

Assist EA Team for network design/change impact

Lead large Network Projects as assigned

Provide weekly updates to all active projects

Develop a thorough understanding of Academy’s policies, procedures and safety rules

Duties may change; team members may be required to perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Attendance

Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties

Some travel required, as needed

Ability to work flexible hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary

Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
