Custodian (Grounds Maintenance focus) Full Time Position Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Hours may vary dependent on weather conditions and school needs (ex. snowstorm expected, severe weather, etc.) Occasional weekend events as needed
General Definition of Work Performs manual work maintaining Grounds, will also perform manual work cleaning District facilities, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Director of Buildings and Grounds.

Essential Functions
Utilization of forklift, lawnmower, snow blower, tractors with attachments and various power tools Ability to handle day to day repairs and fixes Vacuum all carpets in learning areas, offices, and other places Clean restrooms Dust entryways, halls, and other areas Empty garbage cans Clean windows Clean classroom furniture Clean and/or change lightbulbs Clean entryways, bathrooms, walls, and light fixtures Ability to utilize vacuums, wax/buffers, automated scrubber, mechanical lift, and carpet extractor Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Thorough knowledge of School District policies and procedures; knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products; knowledge of chemical cleaning agents; knowledge of MSDS sheets and reports; ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers and students. Able to read and understand labels, directions, and schedules.
Education and Experience High school diploma or GED and minimal experience cleaning facilities, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements This work requires the frequent exertion of up to 10 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force while lifting, pushing, and/or pulling; work regularly requires standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel, pushing or pulling and repetitive motions, frequently requires climbing, bending and/or balancing and occasionally requires speaking or hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms and lifting; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts and observing general surroundings and activities; work occasionally requires exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment and Bodily fluids; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
Special Requirements Driver's license required.
Pay:
$17.59/hour per Master Agreement
