Position Summary
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for administering and assisting the Assistant Director with all aspects of the program. The Program Coordinator will deliver direct services to UB program participants, including recruiting eligible students, coordinating the tutoring initiative, planning and executing exposure activities, engaging parents and families; and planning and executing the summer program. The Program Coordinator will ensure that the objectives of the grant proposal are met by working with the high schools' administration, teachers, and staff to coordinate services for students.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, human services, or related field At least two years of experience in higher education or K-12 education settings Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills required Excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications

Ability to work with individual and groups of students from diverse academic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds Ability to assist the teacher, staff, and the partnership with the target schools Ability to work independently and to respond flexibly to changing events Possess computer, verbal, and communication skills Ability to work independently High level of initiative and organization, good judgment, and discretion required Ability to assist in improving the program enhancement and communication through advertisement and social media Ability to develop and bring to completion multiple assignments concurrently Ability to analyze data and other information utilizing and maintaining spreadsheets and databases Physical Demands

Assist in planning, implementing, administering, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the various specific activities, functions, and services of the Upward Bound Program Participate in modifying program goals, objectives, services, activities, and policies following student needs, objectives and resources, and funding agency requirements Prepare program activities and funding agencies status reports Generate daily, weekly, monthly demographic, and contact reports from the Project database Arrange and conduct workshops for participants and parents, college visits, cultural, and career tours per academic year for participant exposure Preparation and submission of internal and external reports, including the Department of Education Annual Performance Report (APR) Generate daily, weekly, monthly demographic, and contact reports from the project database
