Reports to: Deputy Chief of Programs

Schedule: Flexible Schedule; Occasional Weekends and Evenings as required

Sasha Bruce Youthwork (SBY) is the leading provider of homeless youth services in the DC Region. Through the holistic integration of its Pillars of Opportunity, Sasha Bruce is able to provide safe homes, life skills, and workforce development to meet the unique needs of homeless youth. For 50 years, Sasha Bruce has implemented innovative interventions aimed at ending youth homelessness in the DC region. Today, the programs in DC and Prince George's County, MD, reach over 6,500 runaway, homeless, abused, and neglected youth, and their families.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Programs, the DC DIC Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 8th ST DIC and pop-up Drop In Centers in Chinatown. This includes compliance with all contractual agreements, personnel, program implementation, building maintenance, program finances, administrative systems and daily reporting. The DC DIC Program Manager serves as a liaison to SBY's administrative staff, other SBY programs, and the community at large.

Qualifications: • A Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Human Services, or Social Work is required; A Masters Degree in Social Work with a license a plus. • Must have a minimum of two (2) years professional supervisory and/or managerial experience in the human services and/or social service delivery systems. • Minimum 4 years' experience working in a social service program providing services to homeless and underserved populations; specific experiences managing drop-in center, shelter, outreach or transitional housing programs for low-income youth strongly preferred. • A strong understanding of harm reduction philosophy, trauma-informed provision of services and positive youth development strategies. • Strong knowledge of community resources. • Strong communication and organizational skills required. • Able to work occasional evenings and/ or weekends as needed. • Must be committed to ending youth homelessness, racial inequity, exclusion, and issues central to Sasha Bruce Youthwork's mission. • Sasha Bruce Youthwork, Inc. is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Duties and Responsibilities: • Oversee all recruitment, hiring and operational activities for the Drop In Center; • Cultivate and enhance partnerships, plan, execute and promote planned services, groups and workshops; • Initiate recruitment and outreach efforts for enrollment of participants; • Maintain admission and service policies and protocols; • Oversee intake processes, entry into required client databases and necessary documentation; Ensure that case files are kept up to date and regularly checked for quality; • Development and maintenance of administrative systems to facilitate and enhance the delivery of services. • Provide daily oversight for all aspects of the Center with a Harm Reduction Model approach; • Manage program according to grant/contract specifications; • Provide supervision to staff; • Ensure that the highest quality crises intervention, life skills, education, counseling, case management and housing services are provided to all participants; • Participate actively in Inter-Agency Council on Homelessness meetings and other service coordination, policy and best practice meetings as a representative of SBY; • Oversee staff and volunteer evaluation and the program's continuous quality improvement efforts; • Participate in Managers Meetings and other agency-wide meetings/functions as assigned; • Other duties as assigned.
