Our client, an investment firm, is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join their team in New York, NY!
The Engineering Project Manager will oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. This role requires 5-7 years of relevant experience, strong adaptability, and meticulous attention to detail. Candidates with experience in financial services-particularly asset management-and knowledge of enterprise solutions are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple engineering projects within the portfolio, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Collaborate cross-functionally to define project priorities, resource allocation, and dependencies. Monitor and report on portfolio performance, communicating status, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices in project management and portfolio governance. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the portfolio. Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and high performance within engineering teams. Ensure that all initiatives align with industry regulations and organizational objectives, particularly within financial services and asset management domains. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, finance, or related field. 5-7 years of experience managing portfolios or complex technical projects, preferably within financial services or technology sectors. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering high-quality results. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience with project and portfolio management tools, such as Daptiv, Jira, and Confluence. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in asset management, investment technology, or broader financial services. Knowledge of enterprise solutions and how they drive business value. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, CFA, or similar) a plus. Proven ability to build relationships with both technical and business teams.
