Release Engineer
Our client, a Big 4 professional services firm is looking to add a Release Engineer to their team in Tampa, FL. This role will require working onsite in Tampa, FL 3 days per week (other 2 days can be remote). This is a W2 contract, we can't do C2C arrangements. To be considered, candidates are required to be legally authorized to work in the United States without a sponsoring employer indefinitely. At this time, we can only accept the following work authorizations: US Citizens, GC Holders, GC EAD.
Role Overview:
The Release Engineer will be responsible for managing and coordinating software releases, ensuring that they are delivered smoothly and efficiently. While not directly involved in hands-on development, the engineer should have a solid understanding of software development processes and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Release Management:
Overseeing the release process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating releases. Azure DevOps:
Utilizing Azure DevOps or similar tools to manage development workflows and ensure seamless integration and deployment. Agile Methodologies:
Applying Agile and SCRUM practices to manage and improve the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Troubleshooting:
Leading troubleshooting sessions to resolve complex software issues. Collaboration:
Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination. Qualifications & Requirements:

At least 5 years in release engineering and software development. SDLC Practices:
Strong experience with Agile methodologies, including SCRUM and familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Azure-based hosting and development, SQL databases, and development languages such as C# or React. Security:
Knowledge of software security best practices. Frameworks:
Understanding of .Net frameworks. Nice to Have:
Certification:
AZ-400 certification or the ability to obtain it within a year of starting. Additional Qualities:

A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work. Problem-Solving:
Excellent problem-solving skills. Communication:
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. Leadership:
