Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract opportunity in Fort Bragg, NC.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): *You have at least 6 years of experience with two or more development languages such as Java, C#, or Ruby (Java and .NET preferred). *You can skillfully write high-quality, well-tested code and you are comfortable with Object-Oriented programming. *Comfortability with Agile methods, such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum and/or Kanban. *You enjoy influencing others and always advocate for technical excellence while being open to change when needed. *You're willing and able to commit to travel to client sites in order to solve their business problems. *You're resilient in ambiguous situations and can approach challenges from multiple perspectives. **Bonus points if you have working knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes and Docker. Six years of job-related experience. Six to eight years of experience as software engineer. Experience with computer programming. MUST have a TS/SCI clearance to be considered.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: *Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle. *Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. *Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code. *Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. *Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures. *Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, and by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. *Protects operations by keeping information confidential. *Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues. *Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed. *Supports and develops software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: B.A. or B.S. in computer science, information technology, or related discipline M.S. preferred **Education MUST be accredited**
