Job Description

The AbbVie R&D Device and Combination Product Development (DCPD) function provides device development expertise and technical program management for Aesthetic Devices and Therapeutic Combination Products. We are seeking a candidate with experience in people leadership and device development project management to join our global team!

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the project management team supporting Device and Combination Product Development. This individual will be expected to cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure effective project management for DCPD programs. As a people leader position, this role requires leading experienced project managers, driving excellence and collaboration across the organization.

This individual will perform the following functions in partnership with internal colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders to drive functional performance: Manage a team of project managers as well as the execution of program(s) across the DCPD organization and align cross-functional resources Develop and support realistic cross functional project plans with input from other functions, e.g., Quality and Regulatory Promote the utilization of relevant project management tools for project planning, monitoring, and reporting to maintain project budgets and timelines. Demonstrate the ability to guide your team to resolve key project hurdles and assumptions by effectively utilizing available information and technical expertise. Proactively seek out new information in the literature and project management best practices and incorporate this into individual project(s) as well as the overall program. Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, controlled drug and radioactive compounds, GxP compliance, and animal care where applicable. Set project milestones and report progress accordingly. Provide project management support for and guide the efforts of third-party organizations (suppliers, contractors, etc.) to enable achievement of shared milestones. Proactively advise and share knowledge and expert opinions with subordinates, peers, and senior management. Manage, mentor, and train colleagues and assess current and emerging business challenges enabling functional goal achievement. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors with 16+ years of experience ORMasters or PharmD with 14+ years of experience ORPhD with 8+ years of experience Degree in science related field Technical background in healthcare, medical devices or pharmaceutical companies People leadership experience Preferred Qualifications:

Clinical development experience preferred. Other Required Skills:

Proven ability to innovate with a history of new or improved product releases. Interacts well with diverse groups within function and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators. Strong problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to influence others across areas of scientific disciplines as well as cross-functional stakeholders Additional Information

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Companybelieves ingood faith it will pay for this role at the timeof this posting based on the job grade for this position.Individualcompensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, andwemay ultimatelypay more or less than the posted range.
