Hansen Talent Group is hiring a Sr Server Developer to work with a large enterprise in Columbia, SC. In this role, you'll ensure system performance, availability, and compliance while supporting continuous improvement in processes and technology.
What you'll do:
Administer and maintain servers, hardware, software, and configurations across multiple platforms. Monitor server capacity, performance, and security; resolve issues with end users and vendors as needed. Plan, schedule, and perform system upgrades, including testing and transitioning environments into production. Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and security processes to protect business continuity. Address vulnerabilities and ensure server compliance with audit and regulatory requirements. Generate server utilization, performance, and error reports; proactively optimize infrastructure. Maintain process and procedure documentation, providing feedback to enhance user support and training. Stay current with advancements in server administration tools and technologies. Requirements and Qualifications:
Experience in server administration or a related IT infrastructure role. Strong technical knowledge of servers, operating systems, communications, and related hardware/software. Experience with server monitoring, administration, and security utilities across multiple platforms. Skilled in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem resolution for complex server environments. Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and vulnerability management practices. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
