Reggio's Treehouse is seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our Management Team in Washington, DC.
Our Reggio Emilia philosophy fosters self-directed learning and critical thinking through play, enriching the minds and lives of young learners and empowering them to express themselves freely.
The Assistant Center Director will support the overall operations of our childcare facility, ensuring compliance with state and local laws, licensing requirements, and company policies to provide an exceptional experience for staff, children, and their families.
This role is crucial in welcoming families and children, fostering outstanding care and service, and building strong parent relationships while managing day-to-day operations.
Core requirements include: a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a closely related field, OR a Bachelor's Degree in any subject with at least 12 credit hours in ECE.
Candidates should have at least three years of experience at the director level, demonstrated leadership in early childhood education, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding interpersonal, coaching, and listening skills are essential, along with a strong desire to create a community within the school's staff and families. Responsibilities include assisting the Director in daily operations, understanding and complying with child care licensing regulations, maintaining the school and grounds, promoting the program's philosophy, working off-site at preschool fairs and community events, establishing collaborative relationships with staff and families, developing curriculum, managing staff, and creating a Reggio-inspired environment.
