WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

Design and deliver comprehensive data governance frameworks tailored to client needs and maturity levels. Define and implement data ownership models, data quality standards, metadata management, data cataloging, and data stewardship processes. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to establish data policies, roles, and workflows that ensure consistent and compliant data usage. Lead or support data governance assessments, maturity modeling, and roadmapping engagements. Develop documentation, playbooks, and training materials to drive data governance awareness and adoption across organizations. Guide governance initiatives across enterprise platforms including Snowflake, Tableau, and Salesforce-ensuring proper access controls, usage standards, and data lineage visibility. Facilitate working groups, governance councils, and stakeholder interviews to align business and technical teams on data governance goals. Stay current with industry regulations and best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, data privacy frameworks) and advise clients accordingly.

BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related consulting roles. Proven experience developing and rolling out enterprise data governance strategies, frameworks, and policies. Strong understanding of modern data platforms such as Snowflake, BI tools like Tableau, and CRM platforms like Salesforce, particularly from a governance and metadata perspective. Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Atlan) is a plus. Experience with data cataloging, business glossaries, and metadata management practices. Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to interface with both executive and technical stakeholders. Consulting experience or background in advisory services is highly desirable. Bachelor's or Master`s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
