Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Software Engineer
to join our technology-focused team supporting a critical government customer. This role centers on delivering engineering services for the
ServiceNow
platform-enhancing core platform capabilities, ensuring seamless integrations, and optimizing enterprise-wide functionality.
You'll contribute to a high-impact environment that values innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance core
ServiceNow functionality
to meet tenant needs
Develop, test, and deploy updates in accordance with evolving customer requirements
Customize and configure
ServiceNow applications
, user interfaces, and workflows
Collaborate with engineers and developers to implement configuration changes and build new features
Identify and resolve platform deficiencies with scalable, sustainable solutions
Maintain consistency across
development, testing, integration, and production
environments
Provide ongoing
production support
, end-user assistance, and defect resolution
Document testing procedures and system corrections
Research and implement emerging tools, technologies, and standards
Evaluate system compliance, interface requirements, and integration between hardware and software
Participate in planning of deployment phases and ensure high software quality
Required Education & Experience
Minimum of 16 years
relevant experience with a
Bachelor's or Master's degree
Expertise in
ServiceNow Development Platform
, including modules such as:
ITSM
,
ITOM
,
SPM
,
HR
,
CSM
,
Asset Management
,
Change Management
Strong development experience using
JavaScript
and related technologies
Proven experience in
Database Administration
(Oracle or MySQL)
Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written
Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver on schedule
Self-motivated with strong collaboration and troubleshooting skills
Flexibility and eagerness to adopt emerging tools/technologies
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Willingness to pursue
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
certification while on task
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow CSA Certification
Familiarity with
Scrum, Agile, Lean, and DevOps
frameworks
Experience with
Java, Ruby, DevOps, and DevSecOps
pipelines
