The
Project Manager
will be responsible for overseeing the PV and Battery Field Construction activities including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural trades. This position plays a key role in the department through managing the budgets, project schedules, safety objectives are achieved and coordination with customers. Specific key area of focus includes estimating, establishing subcontracts, supervising subcontractors and vendors, quality control, maintaining project schedules and interfacing directly with the customer. The successful candidate will have a strong presence and ensure company objectives are achieved.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop, coordinate and manage project support services including but not limited to project design, budgeting and scheduling; pre-qualification, selection and management of contractors, subcontractors and equipment vendors; development and structuring project-related contracts; maintaining close contact with the customer; and production of customer deliverables
Manage phases of Projects in compliance with Contracts, maintain or enhanced customer satisfaction and ensure projects are completed on time and budget
Collaborate with Engineering, Development, and Project Management teams in conducting design optimization and value engineering of clean generation projects
Conduct constructability reviews and pre-construction site walks
Perform cost estimating and purchasing functions
Manage field related project planning, scheduling and quality control. Coordinate field construction with Construction Manager
Direct construction contract administration and risk management activities
Mange budgets schedules and invoicing and other contract requirements to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Monitor and manage jobsites compliance with the corporate safety plan, design drawings and contract agreements
Ensure all project related documentation is recorded in the project directory and/or CRM as appropriate
Maintain working knowledge of codes, new technology and internal company design standards/requirements
Oversee various testing and quality assurance checks by Engineering or subcontractor staff to verify the quality of completed projects
Job Requirements and Experiences:
Undergraduate (BS) Degree in Engineering or Construction related preferred
Drivers license
Project Management Profession Certified preferred
Minimum 10 years of experience in Renewable energy projects in both PV and Energy Storage
Previous budget/schedule/performance/quality responsibilities
Specific experience with building energy systems including electrical, Civil, PV and Energy storage systems
Experience in the overall integration of Design engineering, construction, start-up, close-out, turnover and subsequent O&M of a variety of Construction projects
Strong interpersonal skills to interact and work effectively across internal or external organizational boundaries to achieve goals and meet tight deadlines in both group or independent work
Expertise in building codes, permitting and labor issues
Sound and proven Construction and Project Management skills
Strong leadership, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills to achieve deadlines
Ability to push/pull/lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
bility to work safely in extreme field environments (hot sun, cold, etc.) where necessary
Ability and willingness to travel to and from job sites as required to support the projects development and construction
Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
This position is mixed between filed and office locations
Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time
Expected travel is up to 50%
Pay range:
The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois or New York is $129,000 - $193,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
