is looking to hire a

Software Test Engineer

to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role is ONSITE in Huntsville, AL.

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. This program is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.

The chosen candidate will oversee software requirements verification for the Track Server product team, including securing customer approval of test procedures, verifying automated test processes, developing and managing software tools to support computerized requirements verification, and collaborating with the Track Server scrum teams to analyze software performance, observations, and requirements verification. They will also assist with software development as needed and help manage lab assets.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

Evaluate the performance of systems, software, or components using quantitative methods Report on the characterization of future users Contribute to performance assessment by program system engineers Coordinate with software development teams' requirements and shortcomings, communicate clearly with systems engineers and architects, analyze test results, and present verification analysis to the Government customer

WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

Mission-Driven Professional: Collaborative contributor motivated by the opportunity to develop cutting-edge solutions that protect and serve both the nation and the world. Current/active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance. 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline or a Master's degree and 6 years of experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience, or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.

A DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) is required to start Must have experience testing and assessing software-heavy systems in different test settings, using Agile development methods Requires a highly motivated individual capable of solving problems with support from other test engineers and software developers Must have experience using:

DoD test methodologies Functional capability-related test/analysis planning and execution Planning and execution of test data collection Test data analysis and reporting

WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:

Knowledge of Agile Methodologies Develop a test plan to verify all relevant functional and performance requirements Analyze functional and performance requirements to create logical flow diagrams of tests Write automated test plugins that integrate with the C2BMC test framework using the Java programming language A knowledge of Systems Engineering, software development, and verification cycles would be advantageous

PAY TRANSPARENCY:

The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $130,000 - $145,000.
