Role Overview

EDO is a linchpin of an ecosystem of data-first functions that will work together seamlessly to enable AmeriHealth to achieve the true value of data. Responsibilities
Drives the business and technical architectural vision of the enterprise; define and maintain architectural standards and principles
Proposes new technologies, new technical and architectural strategies, and new processes to meet business challenges, in full consideration of their costs and benefits Provides insights and new ways of looking at the business and technology that contribute to the strategic plans and directions of the enterprise
Develops highly sophisticated technology plans to support the business that requires the integration of multiple domains, addressing the interrelationships of multiple systems, and serving diverse clients
Establishes systems to monitor compliance with architectural standards and to ensure technical integrity
Solves problems that have unique and/or broad implications for the technology architecture
This role is typically the top of the escalation path to resolve the most complex technical problems
Plays a leadership role in strategic technology planning for the enterprise; trains and provides leadership to other architects
Directs and leads the architectural elements of large projects or projects that are highly critical to the future of the organization. Consistently leads projects in a self-motivated and self-guided way
Leads strategic architecture planning; drives and determines architectural standards for the organization
Provides recommendations for investment in new products and technology solutions, supported by appropriate ROI, total cost of ownership, and/or cost benefit analyses partnering with appropriate AHC colleagues
Possesses deep expertise in data, process, and system modeling skills in order to effectively document and analyze proposed architectures across the enterprise
Education and Experience
At least ten to twelve (10 - 12)+ years of relevant experience working with data
Experience with HL7 v2, CDA, C-CDA, and other interoperability standards
Cloud-native architecture experience on platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP
Cloud-native architecture experience on platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP
BA/BS degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics or related fields, or equivalent experience
Preferred Master's Degree in related field
Preferred certifications in Azure Data Architect, HL7/FHIR, TOGAF, CDMP
Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of FHIR Implementation Guides and how to use and extend them
Proficiency in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical)
Familiarity with modern API architectures and implementation
Expert-level knowledge of FHIR standards and data modeling
