Responsibilities:

Estimating and Cost Proposals: Creating estimates and cost proposals for new project bids using estimating and scheduling software.

Pre-Construction Projects: Leading pre-construction projects, including preparing and submitting project documents, creating project budgets, qualifying subcontractors, setting up vendors, developing the schedule, and planning the project end-to-end.

Collaboration and Project Delivery: Collaborating with the superintendent and field crew on project delivery.

Project Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing project scope, plans, and technical data (maps, surveys, geotechnical reports, etc.) to prepare engineering reports, project budgets, submittals, and as-built drawings in accordance with construction codes and government standards.

Project Execution: Executing projects, participating in front-end planning meetings, creating three-week look-ahead schedules, managing control records, creating project plans and engineering techniques, and leading planning meetings with superintendents and foremen to direct on-site activities.

Administrative Tasks: Handling addendums, issuing RFIs (Requests for Information), and generating change orders. Allocating equipment and manpower needs for each project.

Quality Assurance: Managing and reviewing project work completed to ensure compliance with contract documents, shop drawings, and engineering requirements.

Financial Oversight: Tracking all project costs end-to-end, reviewing and approving invoices, and preparing projecting costs to complete reports.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Project Manager with at least 5 years of experience managing civil work
