Job Description
The Oracle Database Administrator must have at least 5+ years of experience. Primary responsibilities include supporting database operations such as database performance monitoring, query optimization, code deployments, stored procedure development, access management, and database analysis. In this role, you will operate in Oracle and Exadata environments (Informix and SQL Server experience is a plus) and support database re-platforming efforts. Responsibilities include creating database objects, investigating performance issues, and monitoring database performance. Experience with GoldenGate is a plus. You will collaborate with the DBA team, Data Architects, Data Analysts, and database owners to support both short-term requests and long-term strategies. Strong technical and communication skills are essential to convey findings and recommendations effectively. Primary Responsibilities:
Support ongoing database re-platforming efforts to Exadata. Assist in setting up and implementing GoldenGate data replication. Optimize and tune SQL queries and indexes. Monitor database performance, including memory usage, backups, active sessions, long-running queries, tablespace configuration, and space management. Coordinate with Data Architects and Data Analysts on schema, tables, functions, views, stored procedures, and roles, following best practices. Work with Automation teams to schedule jobs across multiple databases. Provide supervision and guidance on Oracle best practices for application development and routine administrative tasks. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Qualifications:
5+ years of logical and physical DBA experience with Oracle and Exadata. Experience with Informix, SQL Server, Hadoop, MongoDB, or Microsoft Access is a plus. Extensive knowledge of ETL processing, including GoldenGate; Informatica experience is a plus. 5+ years of Data Governance experience and best practices. Familiarity with JIRA workflows and Agile methodology. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, DBeaver, TOAD, or Oracle SQL Developer. Good communication skills. Self-motivated and capable of presenting to diverse audiences. Team player. Experience with MDM methodology and tools is a plus. Experience with Denodo Data Virtualization is a big plus.
