Security Engineer
W.W. Grainger, Inc. is seeking a security engineer with the following duties: play crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures for cloud-based systems; oversee compliance, risk management, and automation; develop secure cloud infrastructure by implementing security controls such as network segmentation, identity and access management (IAM), and encryption; define role-based access control (RBAC), implement multi-factor authentication (MFA), and enforce least privilege access policies; implement zero trust principles, ensuring every access request is verified before granting access; collect and analyze logs, memory dumps, and cloud artifacts to investigate security incidents and determine root causes; work with the CSOC (Cybersecurity Operations Center) team to mitigate risks by applying patches, revoking compromised credentials, or isolating affected resources; develop security policies, guidelines, and procedures for cloud security best practices; implement security best practices in Terraform and Python to enforce security policies at deployment; work with DevOps to integrate security testing into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Snyk; stay updated with evolving threats, cloud security trends, and emerging technologies. 100% remote work allowed from anywhere in the U.S.
