We are hiring a new team member to join our Special Credits Unit to collect loan payments and late charges while ensuring compliance with polices and regulations and protecting bank assets. Customer Account Resolution Specialist: $25.15/hour minimum; Customer Account Resolution Representative: $22.75/hour minimum

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-5

GENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARY Collects delinquent loan payments and late charges ensuring collections operations comply with bank policy and protects the bank's assets by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Locates delinquent payers and the Bank's collateral; prepares and sends demand letters. Recommends and assists with repossession of bank collateral and pursues all legal means to recover outstanding credits fraud, forgeries, and other capital threats to preserve bank assets. Recommends and arranges settlements, payment plans, or suit filings to recover amounts owed. Recommends course of action for collection to Section Head and assigns the file to attorneys or collection agencies as directed. Assists Special Credits Officers with preparing files for submittal to attorneys for foreclosure and other legal actions and monitors the progress until the action is complete; orders and analyzes appraisals and Brokers Opinion of Value; completes pre-sales and obtains approval to carry out actions in lieu of foreclosure arrangements. Ensures that all collection activity is conducted in accordance with State and Federal Laws and Regulations. These include, but are not limited to, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Consumer Finance Protection Bureau and the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Secures, takes inventory, and ensures utility hook-ups of bank owned real estate and investor property; assists in the sale of bank owned and investor properties by marketing and processing paperwork for closings. Assists customers with collections questions. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor. COMPLIANCE EXPECTATIONS

Ensure business unit's operations comply with bank policy, procedures, and banking regulations (for business unit heads). Ensure you and your delegates have adequate and current compliance training, and ensure training is completed on time. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations. Ensure you and your delegates comply with the bank's policies, procedures, laws and regulations. Maintain customer confidence and protect the bank's operations by you and your delegates identifying and protecting confidential information. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES May directly supervise employees in assigned unit of the Special Credits Section. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervisory responsibilities could include making recommendations regarding hiring, evaluating and terminating employees.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Collector III Minimum:

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field and two years related experience, including one year of customer service-related experience; or four years related experience with at least one year of customer service-related experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience. Preferred:

Two years collections or lending experience. Lead experience.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to keyboard 45 wpm and operate a 10-key by sight required. Word processing and spreadsheet software experience required. Database software experience preferred. Ability to handle highly confidential information, frequent deadlines, and time constraints required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING SKILLS: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several variables. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Some travel via automobile, small plane or boat to locations inside and outside of Alaska may be required. Some overtime and weekend work required.
