Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Developer
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) delivers mission-critical applications for top tier enterprises around the world. OCI is expanding its mission beyond the traditional boundaries of public cloud to include dedicated, hybrid and multi cloud, edge computing, and more. At OCI platform organization, our mission is to provide core platform services for OCI cloud and customers. We're embarking on an ambitious new initiative to scale our tier-0 services for 10x growth. We are looking for seasoned and talented developers to join platform dataplane scalability team within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This team is working on re-architecting critical platform data planes for next phase of OCI growth. We need you to challenge existing assumptions and boundaries, bring your expertise in highly performant, reliable software engineering and help us bring OCI to the next level. As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs. Basic Qualifications
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or relevant technical field involving coding or equivalent practical experience 3-5+ years of full-time professional experience in software development Demonstrated ability to write great code using Java, GoLang, or similar languages Proven ability to deliver products and experience with the full software development lifecycle Experience working on large-scale, highly distributed services infrastructure Experience working in an operational environment with mission-critical tier-one livesite servicing Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and drive Experience designing architectures that demonstrate deep technical depth in one area, or span many products, to enable high availability, scalability, market-leading features and flexibility to meet future business demands Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience developing and maintaining services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle) Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) languages, preferably Terraform Strong knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) Strong knowledge of Computer Networking (OSI layers, HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, Routers, Gateways, Subnets, etc.) Strong knowledge of building distributed systems Able to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations) Experience with hiring, mentorship and raising the talent bar across the organization Disclaimer: Certain US customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
