Position: Lead / Senior Vascular Technologist
Department: Vascular Lab Schedule: 40-Hrs Full-Time POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead / Senior Vascular Sonographer functions as a healthcare provider who, working under the delegated authority of the technical director and supervising physician, supervises sonography staff and oversees their professional development. Our client seeks a full-time Sr. Vascular Technologist for our IAC Accredited Vascular Lab. The team works closely with 4 Vascular Surgeons, 2 Cardiologists, 2 Neurologists, Fellows/Residents, and 6 Vascular Technologists. Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree in Vascular Tech/Ultrasound, or BS/AS in any allied health/science discipline plus a certificate from an accredited vascular ultrasound program. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Required Licensure/Certifications: Certified through ARDMS as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or ARDMS Registry. Experience:
Minimum of 4-5 years in vascular ultrasound technology and non-invasive vascular exams. Proficient with all vascular laboratory equipment. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Perform a full spectrum of vascular studies, including Non-Invasive Carotid Studies, Arterial Duplex Studies, Venous Duplex Studies, Transcranial Doppler, Renal Artery, Arterial Physiology, and Vein Mapping studies. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare team members. Maintain extensive clinical experience and support staff mentorship. Essential Responsibilities / Duties
The Lead Sonographers functions include: Core competencies such as extensive sonography education and training, certification (ARDMS, RVT), and commitment to professional growth. Proficiency with computer skills and report documentation. Collaborative work with healthcare teams. Assist with IAC reaccreditation, education of students and residents. Ensure quality standards for sonography examinations. Oversee technical and image quality assessments. Serve as the clinical/technical leader in sonography imaging. Participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement protocols.
