Technology Support Technician Intern GENERAL INFORMATION Title: Technology Support Technician Intern Department: Information Technology Center Salary Grade: Part-time Hourly FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Site/Location: Information Technology Center Reports to: Supervisor of Support Technology Date: 7/11/2025 POSITION SUMMARY

The Technology Support Technician Intern is an entry-level position designed to train and encourage an individual pursuing a technology-based career, while simultaneously providing valuable services to Lynchburg City Schools. The position is available to students currently enrolled in an accredited, Virginia K-12 school. The student must be in and remain in good academic standing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Repair and organize broken devices - Chromebooks, iPads, laptops and desktops. Organize and maintain the technician repair center for cleanliness and order. Assist the Warehouse Manager with inventory-related tasks. Assist and shadow Technology Support Technicians. Learn new technologies and skills. LYNCHBURG CITY SCHOOLS COMPETENCIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

This position is open to students currently enrolled in an accredited, Virginia K-12 School in good academic standing. Candidate must have coursework in technology or a related field. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Passion for Information Technology Existing computer or technology repair experience is preferred SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
