Data Integration Engineer
will play a critical role in onboarding new credit union clients by transforming and integrating their data into the Sharetec platform. This role involves hands-on data conversion work using Progress 4GL, with a focus on automation and process improvement. You will ensure smooth, accurate data migrations and contribute to evolving our tools and methodologies. This is a full-time, exempt position that can be remote or hybrid for candidates in the Fort Wayne, IN area. Remote candidates must reside in one of the approved states listed below. The role may require occasional company-paid travel. The starting salary range is $90,000–$110,000. Responsibilities include:
Analyzing and transforming credit union data files into formats compatible with Sharetec’s Progress-based platform. Developing and maintaining Progress 4GL code for data loading, validation, and application logic. Executing data loads and ensuring data integrity across databases and servers. Additional duties:
Identifying opportunities to automate manual processes. Developing scripts/tools (Python, Bash, JavaScript) to improve repeatability and reduce errors. Supporting post-conversion troubleshooting and client-specific development. Collaborating with internal teams to share knowledge and improve workflows. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related. 3–5 years experience in data integration, ETL, or software development. Experience with Progress 4GL or similar languages (or willingness to learn). Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Bash, JavaScript. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
