Consultant for Data Integration and Semantic Layer Development
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Data Integration and Semantic Layer Consultant. The role involves:
Providing expertise and guidance on integration strategies, solution architecture, and best practices.
Developing and enforcing integration standards and reusable patterns.
Supporting cross-domain integration efforts and designing scalable data solutions.
Leading the development of a centralized semantic layer aligned with BI and analytics goals.
Architecting flexible semantic models and collaborating with engineering and data science teams.
Ensuring compliance with data governance and security standards.
Bridging technical and business teams to translate requirements into scalable data models.
Contributing to the evolution of data platforms using emerging technologies.
Implementing monitoring, observability, and documentation practices.
Mentoring teams in semantic modeling, integration patterns, and data architecture.
Driving continuous improvement and innovation in data integration ecosystems.
Requirements
Expertise in data modeling, including relational and dimensional techniques.
Hands-on experience with semantic layer tools like LookML, Cube.js, AtScale, or similar.
Strong SQL and query language skills, familiarity with MDX or DAX.
Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot.
API development and system integration experience.
Understanding of data governance, security, and cloud platforms like AWS, Snowflake, Azure.
Skills in ETL/ELT, data transformation, scripting, and automation.
Leadership capabilities, excellent communication, and strategic vision.
Business acumen and analytical thinking.
