Technology Primary Purpose

To provide the District with automated tools and services for student and staff needs, ensuring compliance with state mandates, sound business practices, and educational excellence. Responsibilities include customizing, deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining software applications used within the District. Qualifications

Minimum Education/Certification

Bachelors Degree in Information or Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, with a proven track record in automated student and/or business services. Special Knowledge/Skills

Knowledge of data flow diagrams, database design, and theories. Experience with software selection and management. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Preferred experience with report writing tools (Cognos, SSRS, Crystal Reports). Preferred knowledge of relational databases (Microsoft SQL, MySQL). Familiarity with Integration Tools (SSIS) and programming languages such as XML, HTML, MS SQL, PowerShell. Understanding of school business and student systems, including HR, Payroll, Finance, and others. Minimum Experience

3-5 years in software analysis, design, programming, and testing with relational databases. Experience in team environments, vendor and project management. Responsibilities and Duties

Develop, maintain, and enhance software programs and systems. Create and test configurations for student information and finance systems. Generate reports using Crystal Reports, SSRS, Cognos. Query and manipulate MS SQL databases. Test software under various environments. Implement changes due to statutory updates or user requests. Conduct training and write programs for user requests. Assess and improve existing programs and systems. Stay updated on technological advancements. Monitor system use, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with other departments. Manage user resources and security levels. Design interfaces with third-party systems. Coordinate with vendors for problem resolution and testing fixes. Maintain documentation on processes and procedures. Provide on-call support for critical incidents. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Information

This is an in-person position; remote work is not permitted unless approved by the Superintendent. Must maintain emotional control, communicate effectively, and work irregular hours as needed, including off-hours troubleshooting. Safety precautions must be observed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
