Linux HPC Cluster Systems Engineer - Austin, TX
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Linux HPC Cluster Engineer to join our team in Austin, Texas, managing some of the largest Linux HPC clusters running leading CAE engineering software for our clients.
This role is ideal for a problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has a passion for maintaining high-uptime production systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and optimize large-scale Linux HPC cluster systems.
Ensure 24x7 production operations with a focus on uptime and reliability.
Develop and maintain automation workflows to streamline operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in real-time.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support all aspects of the HPC including hardware, networking, storage, and operating system.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Scripting Skills:
Strong proficiency in Bash and Python scripting, use of git, containers. Automation Expertise:
Hands-on experience with automation tools like Ansible. Batch Schedulers:
Practical experience with HPC batch schedulers such as Slurm or PBS. HPC Technologies:
Demonstrated experience with High-Performance Computing (HPC) technologies such as MPI, NHC, Slurm/PBS, PDSH. Operational Experience:
Proven track record of supporting 24x7 operations with high uptime. Preferred Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-moving environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Location:
