Nurses in our Developmental Services programs at Howard Center provide direct and indirect care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Nursing Supervisor oversees daily operations and schedules, plans for nursing services, and supports RN's and MA's to ensure high quality services are provided in accordance with regulations and standards of practice. Experience working with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.Responsibilities:Oversight of daily nursing operations - scheduling, supervision, performance evaluation, recruitment and hiringParticipates in program development and quality improvementProvides coverage and back-up support to DS nursing team as neededServes as back-up to one other Nursing Supervisor (who oversees nurses in the adult mental health programs) as neededParticipates in evening/weekend on-call support for residential programs as part of a team rotationAudits documentation of nursing services and records to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and agency standardsConducts nursing team meetings and group supervisionsRequirements:Unencumbered Registered Nurse license, Vermont license eligibleAssociates DegreeThree years of experience in nursingOne year of experience supervising staff or in a leadership role preferredStructure:Full TimeExemptSalary starting at $88,469We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experienceBenefits:Accrue 36 days of combined time off per year for full-time employees (and increasing with years of service); pro-rated for positions 16 hours or moreComprehensive health insurance with 80% agency-paid premium support for individuals, couples, and families (pro-rated for part time).
