Our client, a large government systems integrator located in Boulder, CO, is looking to hire a Secret cleared Network Engineer for a 12 month contract. The consultant will work a 9/80 onsite schedule at the Boulder office. In this role with the operations & sustainment team, the consultant will be responsible for the successful implementation, integration, and sustainment support of a multi-site classified network with a variety of locations and vendor hardware. Responsibilities: Configuration and management of Juniper and Cisco switches and routers, firewalls, and support to system administration team in deployment at new sites. Support the design, build, test, and troubleshoot computer systems. Network and system administration. Workstation and server configuration. Maintenance and troubleshooting. Working with the system administrator, hardware, and software teams to maintain/update system. Install/build rack mounted systems. Required Skills: 12+ years of experience Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance during the contract Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification Hands-on experience designing, deploying and managing LAN and WAN networks Experience with RHEL Linux Experience with Juniper and Cisco Desired Skills: Experience in SPACE Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Systems Sound knowledge of network architecture, topologies, engineering, design, implementation, and testing Familiarity with communication products including router, switches, firewalls, domain name servers (DNS) and data encryption products. Certifications in Juniper and/or Cisco Understanding of standard DoD security practices such as, STIG/RMF compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts Experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytic tools Network and RHEL automation utilizing Ansible VMware virtualization Document existing and new network architectures using Visio
