Principal C++/Go/Linux Engineer, Boston or Marlboro
Nasuni is expanding its world class software engineering team and is looking for a Principal Software Engineer with strong experience in design, development and performance optimization of storage, database or distributed systems. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in advancing Nasuni's cutting-edge technology. As the Principal C++/Go/Linux Engineer
, you will... Participate in requirements analysis, design, design reviews and other work related to expanding Nasuni's offering Take ownership of one or more existing system components, design and implement new functionality, and maintain and support existing features Improve performance, scalability, and stability working closely with QA and Performance teams Work with customer support to address escalation Implement code using the team's coding standards and guidelines. Provide code coverage through unit tests. Perform code reviews for self and the team. Use Python and Python testing framework, Pytest, to write tests and troubleshoot issues uncovered by tests. Author tests and contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines. Troubleshoot root cause issues in own code or assigned areas. Minimum experience + qualifications we look for are...
BS in EE, CE or CS 7+ years of experience in software development of storage (block, object or filesystem), database or distributed computing systems Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design and expertise in Object-Oriented Programming Expert skills in either C++ or Go and multi-threaded programming in Linux environment is required Expert user-space debugging skills Experience with system level performance analysis methods and tools is desirable Knowledge of networking and experience in developing application protocols is a plus If expertise in C++, familiarlity with Go is desired and vice versa.
