Powers Health is hiring a Medical Staff Coordinator for Medical Staff to work days 8a-4:30p in Munster, IN.

Medical Stafff Coordinator Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordinating credentialing and privileging activities of initial appointment and reappointment processes, clinical privileging and monitoring process of the Medical Staff and Allied Health Professional Staff. Credentialing activities are planned and executed within the specified time frames with considerable independence in conformance with established Accreditation of Joint Commission on Healthcare Organizations, Indiana State Department of Health standards, and other applicable regulatory agencies. Adheres to established policies, procedures and Bylaws. Coordinates the daily operations of the department under the direction of the Supervisor/Manager of Medical Staff Services. Provides support and administrative services to medical staff leaders. Provides support of departmental responsibilities in the Supervisor/Manager's absence or unavailability. Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum high school diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred. 2 years of secretarial/administrative work experience, preferably in a hospital setting. Previous credentialing experience within a Medical Staff Services Department, CVO, Managed Care of Medical Group preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology. Experience with meeting preparation including minute taking preferred. Advanced knowledge of computer applications and MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
