Position Summary: Supervises professionals to ensure the effective delivery of quality services. Ensures departmental compliance with all information privacy regulations. Coordinates Behavioral healthcare services with all relevant stakeholders and external providers. Assess Behavioral Healthcare services, coordinates with administration, and implements necessary changes to ensure an exceptional level of service to patients.Critical Tasks: Maintains focus upon patients served, the quality of their care, their individual needs and their medical outcomes.Complies fully with all patient medical records and information privacy regulations, state and federal.Takes all steps necessary to fully ensure patient and medical data confidentiality and security by all department staff.Ensures that patients receiving behavioral health services are well cared for according to state and federal regulations as well as contemporary Behavioral Healthcare practices.May occasionally perform Critical Tasks of direct reports position concurrently with the Critical Tasks of this position title, while still employed in this one full-time position.Oversees care management and case management activities to ensure appropriate high quality services to behavioral health patients. Actively ensures direct reports compliance at all times and in all cases.Ensures full coordination of all services provided with the duties and responsibilities of all other enterprise healthcare service providers.Investigates and resolves patient and guardian concerns as well as Behavioral Healthcare service inefficiencies while ensuring that repetition of such issues or failings does not occur.Completes frequent detailed reviews of patient charts and case files to ensure high quality care and continuous improvement of medical outcomes.Performs referral services when necessary for other medical services and whenever possible, makes use of capable community resources.Completes cyclical evaluations of services provided and patient medical conditions/needs.Maintains exceptional working and patient-centered relationships and coordination/communication between and among patient families, facilities providing care, tribal administration, and the enterprise.Continually evaluates and improves Behavioral Healthcare services standards, policies and protocols to ensure beneficial services to patients at all times.Continually assesses services and programs offered in comparison to changing patient needs, and recommends necessary changes and improvements as indicated by patient needs and conditions.Designs and implements professional staff development programs resulting from the above Critical Task.Continually researches best Behavioral Healthcare best practices and implements those as appropriate.Notifies management of all significant issues affecting patients and takes all steps necessary to ensure full resolution of such issues.Provides leadership and direction on a patient-centered basis to direct reports.Demonstrates ability to clearly communicate, both orally and in writing, while performing all essential functions.Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.Required Qualifications: Masters' Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or closely related field of study from an accredited university or college.3 years of experience in a Behavioral Health Services capacity required. Current independent license from Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as either, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LISAC required.Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card required.Current and continuing BLS training and certifications preferred.Demonstrated ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures and community health services.
