Westbrook High School Athletics and Activities Director

The Westbrook School Department is seeking an Athletics & Activities Director at Westbrook High School beginning July 1, 2025. This position will include everything that goes into providing each enrolled student at WHS diverse opportunities to participate in athletics and extra-curricular activities. Our next Athletics & Activities Director will be a knowledgeable, creative, and energetic asset to our team. This is a full-time position that entails leading the WHS Athletics & Activities Department in offering our student body a wide variety of stimulating and engaging extra-curricular outlets. The ideal candidate will have experience as an educator, coach, and administrator at the 9-12 level. We are looking for a candidate experienced in working with a team of administrators to deliver strong extra-curricular programs year-round. We also prefer a candidate who has expertise creating and managing a dynamic calendar of events, activities, and transportation. Clear and timely communication with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including students, families, teachers, administration, coaches, and advisors, is of paramount importance. Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with both MPA and Westbrook Schools academic and sports/activities eligibility standards and practices. Finally, the candidate should reflect a leader who can confidently manage both personnel and facilities, which include but are not limited to the athletic fields, the gymnasium and auxiliary spaces, and the auditorium.
