Want to join a growing well established disruptor in the asset management industry? This is a net new to the industry platform that the major asset managers around the globe use on a daily basis. As a part of a dynamic team, you will participate in all phases of software engineering life cycle. You will be part of the entire business problem solving process, not just be a heads down coder.

They are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven software engineer to join the Data/Engineering team.

This is a high-profile role with great exposure to multiple components and frameworks with a concentration on back-end and middleware - including those in the critical path. The ability to learn fast, attention to detail, and deliver quality solutions is more important than prior experience with any specific language/framework/tool.

As a part of a dynamic team, you will participate in all phases of software engineering life cycle.You will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain components and features of a complex trading platform. You will be part of the entire business problem solving process, not just be a heads down coder.

Qualifications: BS in Computer Science or related field 5+ years of professional development experience Experience/interest in financial services industry Proficiency with relational databases NoSQL experience a plus Proficiency with Python

Skills & Abilities: Solid software engineering and data engineering fundamentals. Experience/interest in DevOps, testing, deployment, support. Experience with high-availability systems. Fluency in Linux. Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Angular JS, and Python web frameworks Experience with micro-services, pub-sub, and frameworks like Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ is a plus Experience with AWS (or other cloud platforms) a plus. Ability to work in a fast paced, high-stress environment. Superior ability to troubleshoot system issues. Strong attention to detail. Strong communication skills including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical colleagues. ****US citizenship or Green Card required
