Linux Administrator - OA/ETSO
Location: Harrisburg, PA (Hybrid) - Candidate must reside within one hour of Harrisburg and be able to work on-site at least one day per week.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join the OA/ETSO team. This role will be responsible for administering and supporting enterprise-level Linux systems, implementing automation solutions, managing containerized environments, and ensuring secure and high-performing server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of Red Hat Linux, Ansible, VMWare, and cloud technologies, along with a strong commitment to operational excellence and security best practices.
Responsibilities:
Server Administration Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers to ensure high availability and performance Perform system upgrades, patching, and security enhancements using Satellite Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues Create golden system images Install Linux OS using Satellite or CD Set up and manage container environments Build automated systems using Ansible Work with containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift User and Access Management
Set up user accounts, SUDO access, and group access Enforce security policies and manage sensitive data access Security Maintenance
Manage SELinux policies Utilize FireEye for system protection and threat monitoring Networking
Configure bonding and EtherChannels Collaborate with networking teams to resolve connectivity issues Backup and Monitoring
Work with the backup team to ensure proper OS-level backups Coordinate with the monitoring team to set up system alerting Containerization
Maintain and support containerized environments Assist in migrating applications to container platforms Documentation
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for system configurations and procedures Document resolutions and actions in the ticketing system Required Skills and Experience:
Red Hat Linux administration Shell scripting Writing and managing Ansible playbooks VMWare experience Experience with ServiceNow ticketing Git server experience Cloud experience with Azure or AWS Containerization experience is highly preferred Work Requirements:
Must be able to work on-site in Harrisburg, PA at least one day per week Must currently reside within a one-hour commute of Harrisburg, PA
