The Role
As a
Staff Applied Scientist , you will take a leading role in designing and deploying advanced NLP systems that power high-value solutions for enterprise customers. This is a highly strategic position with strong visibility, direct collaboration with executive stakeholders, and a mandate to drive both scientific and business impact.
Key Responsibilities: Architect and implement next-generation language models to support professional document understanding, semantic retrieval, and contextual reasoning Lead high-priority initiatives in domain adaptation, efficient inference, and context-aware processing Own the full ML lifecycle from ideation to production deployment, ensuring scalability and performance Serve as a thought leader in the AI research community by publishing at top conferences and translating academic advancements into commercial applications Collaborate with product and engineering leads to align technical direction with long-term strategy Qualifications:
PhD in NLP, Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, or a related field A strong and consistent record of publications in premier venues (ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, NeurIPS, ICML, etc.) 5+ years of experience building and deploying production NLP/ML systems with measurable impact Deep understanding of transformer architectures, semantic search, retrieval systems, and model optimization Hands-on expertise with modern ML tools and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, HuggingFace, LangChain) Experience working with large-scale document corpora and solving complex information extraction challenges The Benefits
