Washington, DC (Hybrid) The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), committed to enhancing fiscal and financial stability, accountability, and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia, is seeking a Network Engineer (IT Specialist - Network). This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The incumbent will work closely with OCFO users and other District agencies to analyze and define network system requirements, implement solutions, plan and track projects, and coordinate inter-agency efforts in networking, infrastructure, security, and interoperability. Brief Description of Duties:

Configures and optimizes network servers, hubs, routers, and switches. Analyzes network workload, diagnoses, and resolves network problems; develops backup and recovery procedures. Installs, tests, maintains, and upgrades network operating systems software. Ensures rigorous application of information security and assurance policies, principles, and practices. Manages the agency's telephony infrastructure including voice terminals, VOIP, voice switching, provisioning, analog lines, ACD, and IVR systems. Implements and enforces policies and procedures related to network and infrastructure management, security, disaster recovery, encryption, and compliance. Monitors network infrastructure using tools such as LanDesk, Microsoft SUS, McAfee ePO, Cisco utilities, IDS/IPS devices, firewalls, BMC tools, Solarwinds, Servista, Retina, and others. Analyzes and refines system requirements and translates them into applications. Minimum Qualifications:

Five (5) years of progressive experience in analyzing, configuring, optimizing, monitoring, and maintaining Server, SAN, Desktop, and Cloud architecture and infrastructure; managing the installation and testing of new and existing IT products; troubleshooting IT issues. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred. Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, MCSE, MCSA are highly desirable.
