Job Description
Steel Thread Software, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Software Developer to join a fast-paced startup environment working with both commercial and government clients. Qualifications
Responsibilities: Design, install, test, and maintain software systems. Participate in requirements definition, perform conceptual and detailed design, code, and unit testing of critical software components, and lead integration testing. Generate formal design documentation, Interface Control Documents, and document interfaces between programs. Support the development of Acceptance Test Plans and Procedures, and customer design review materials. Contribute cross-functionally on Agile development teams.
Skills: Hands-on experience with database design and maintenance using MongoDB, Postgres, MySQL, and other NoSQL databases. Familiarity with build and deployment automation tools such as Jenkins, Nexus, Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Maven, and Ant. Strong configuration management experience with Subversion and GIT. Experience managing development environments using VMware, OpenStack, and similar tools. Proven ability to write and execute unit tests using JUnit, Karma, and other testing frameworks.
Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in a corporate development environment.
