Position Description:

Builds Rich Internet Applications (RIA) and RESTful services using Agile software development practices. Builds Single Page Applications (SPAs) and reusable web components using Angular framework, NgRx, Storybook, AG Grid, and Bootstrap. Designs and develops RESTful services using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Swagger, Docker, YAML, and JSON. Develops and runs end-to-end automation test scripts using Cucumber and Serenity. Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on projects and proposes modifications for improvements based on user needs. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation. Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project. Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology Management, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and building responsive web applications in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology Management, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and building responsive web applications in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") architecting, designing, and building web applications using JavaScript frameworks, Angular.js, Angular 4/9/13/17, Backbone.js, and front-end languages (HTML and CSS); and developing Semantic HTML and HTML5 UIs to define formatting rules and responsive designs, using CSS and SCSS. DE performing full stack development using Java, Microservices, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Spring MVC; and developing web-based applications using JavaServer Page (JSP), Java, Spring security, Spring Core, and Web Services (SOAP and REST). DE implementing, testing, and debugging highly scaled and secured Agile planning platform services according to Agile methodologies, using Java and J2EE and by writing SQL queries. DE applying DevOps principles throughout the entire web application development lifecycleperforming code scan and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployments (CI/CD) (using Jenkins) and administering source code repository (using BitBucket and GitHub); and identifying performance bottlenecks and providing solution improvements for Web applications or AWS Cloud deployments in production.
