Lead the digital defense frontiershape secure, scalable DoD web applications as a Full Stack SME at Caribou Thunder. A Day in the Life What You'll Do Architect, design, and maintain full stack Java-based web applications supporting classified Department of Defense (DoD) environments Lead integration of front-end frameworks with secure DoD infrastructure and backend systems Oversee database development to ensure high availability, integrity, and cybersecurity compliance Implement and enforce secure coding practices in accordance with DoD standards using Fortify, SonarQube, and other tools Conduct advanced debugging, testing, and performance tuning while mentoring junior engineers Document software architectures, workflows, and compliance checkpoints to ensure audit readiness Collaborate across cybersecurity, systems engineering, and program management teams to deliver mission-critical tools Is This You? Bachelor's Degree + 15 years OR Master's degree + 13 years in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Deep expertise in secure full stack development, architecture, and DevSecOps in defense or classified programs Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI Strategic thinker, systems architect, mission-driven, and experienced in leading technical delivery on secure defense platforms Core Skills Languages & Frameworks
Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS DevOps & CI/CD Tools: GitLab CI/CD, GitLab Runners, Nexus Repository, Agile Scrum, WebLogic deployment Security & Compliance: Fortify, SonarQube, secure coding practices, DoD software development lifecycle Containers & Orchestration: Kubernetes (K8s), Helm, Helm Charts Development Practices: Full SDLC ownership, secure architecture, technical leadership, audit documentation, Agile/DevSecOps integration Preferred Qualifications
