Systems Administrator
to serve as a full-time, on-site technician to support a new deployment of a Modeling and Planning tool for Space Operations. Duties will include the installation and maintenance of purpose-built software onto a stand-along/closed system. Once the installation and configuration is complete, the System Admin will be responsible for routine monitoring, updates, and troubleshooting of the software and hardware. This installation will operate in a closed and classified environment so security assurance and the efficiency with which updates are made and are tracked are essential. **Active TS/SCI Clearance with a Polygraph** Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: Install and configure software Manage operational system and technology tools Set up accounts Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements Troubleshoot issues and outages Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls Upgrade systems with new releases and models through periodic updates and export of flat files for external use Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies Build technical documentation, manuals and IT policies that help guide routine operations Qualifications
Requirements and Skills Required BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; current Security + certification required Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role Experience with databases, Linux OS and patch management Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery Ability to create scripts in Python, Java Script Proficiency with Linux OS administration Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Active TS/SCI with a Polygraph About the company
