Responsibilities
The System Management Branch focuses on managing multiple dispersed, independent/intra-dependent systems performing various functions such as Operating Systems (OS), Hardware (HW), databases, and software applications. These systems are interoperable with other elements or systems to perform functions as part of larger, complex systems. The GCC operates, monitors, sustains, and secures enterprise-directed systems throughout the GCC AOR and internal services. Operating System Administration:
The GCC operates, maintains, secures, and sustains OS supporting numerous local and enterprise services. Responsibilities include OS maintenance, desktop support, and help desk functions. Virtualization Management / SAN / Backup:
The GCC manages virtual infrastructure (VI), including storage area networks (SAN), backup, and restoration systems/services. Most virtual environments are private cloud services, with some moving to the cloud, requiring support similar to on-premises systems. Tasks include deployment, operation, maintenance, and automation of VI environments, large storage devices, and backup/restoration processes. Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD. DoD Secret clearance required. Certifications: VMware Certified Advanced Professional, MCSE: Core Infrastructure (or equivalent), and one of the following: Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security, CompTIA SecurityX, Federal IT Security Professional-Operator-NG (FITSP-O), GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT), or GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC).
