*This position does have the opportunity to be remote but will be required to come into the office at times This position supports Mercy's philosophy of patient centered care by working to ensure that digital information remains safe and secure through the implementation and support of Information Security policies, procedures, and technologies. Job Duties
Ensure and maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational information systems. Mange incident response teams to contain, investigate, and prevent future computer security breaches. Work with the management team to assure alignment between data security needs as they relate to our core applications and technology. Monitor and audit access to and use of the organizations computerized data and information services, and reports any issues or misuse. Regularly interact with user departments to address security needs. Provide second-level support for end-user access and permissions. Serves as a liaison with all users in areas of data security. Establishes the working rapport necessary to develop cooperation and effectively integrate IS services with the enterprise, both owned and affiliated. Supports operation of the facilities data security systems. Troubleshoots problems in installing and upgrading data security systems. Monitors the overall performance of the data security technologies. Specifies and sets up appropriate network access for network users, and ensure timely removal of access for employees and other network users. Works with other application support staff to provide guidance on access integration and user access management. Evaluate gaps in security and identify solutions to mitigate risk, including business processes, technical controls, or policy improvements. Validate that activities and controls are enacted to secure information are assessed. Prepare and present training activities, materials, and awareness programs that encourage proper security practices. Use security tools to perform proactive monitoring and analysis of security events of interest to detect security risks and threats on the customers network. Stay abreast of current threats and vulnerabilities, particularly those that may directly impact the business. Create incidents and support the investigation of such incidents to not only mitigate the current threat but also prevent future occurrence. Document all actions taken as part of incident investigation. Work closely with other teams to support the incident management process. Mentor and Train analysts on the team in both technical and process areas. Drive the identification, creation and refinement of the teams processes and procedures. Facilitate hardware updates on critical security infrastructure as required. Serve as a subject matter expert, architect, and SME for IAM solutions. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Strong technical management and technical problem resolution skills. Knowledge and skills in project management methods with an ability to demonstrate methods when needed to lead projects. Respect for privileged information. Adaptability in working with professional and non-professional staff in a team-oriented environment. Outstanding critical thinking and problem solving skills while demonstrating a high degree of objectivity, diplomacy and tact. Ability to manage interpersonal relations. Some knowledge of health care trends, policy, regulatory and compliance issues. Ability to work productively in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. Project Management Skills PowerShell scripting O365 security proficiency Understanding of ITIL Change process Problem Solving and Critical thinking skills Experience with performing or managing security audits or security risk assessments Serve as a subject matter expert, architect, and SME for IAM solutions.
Professional Experience
Required: Two (2) years experience working with a variety of operating systems, network security and data encryption technologies, and security standards; designing, implementing, and managing network/server/data access systems and procedures, working with customers and end-users to provide support and help solve problems. Preferred: Healthcare Information Security experience.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree required.
Licensure, Certification, Registration
The department requires:
