The mission of Family Health Services (FHS) is to provide superior, comprehensive, primary medical and dental care in order to improve the health and quality of life of Solano County residents. We have a special commitment to the uninsured, low-income, and medically underserved. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we are a safety net provider. To support our mission, FHS offers four conveniently located clinics in Fairfield, Vacaville, and Vallejo and mobile medical and dental vans in which we provide primary care and dental services. The outpatient primary care clinics see patients five days a week, with some weekend and evening hours offered.We are committed to improving the quality of life locally by providing exceptional medical services, tracking and preventing the spread of disease, and promoting health and safety through education and communication.Click here to learn more about the Family Health Services DivisionTHE POSITIONThe Clinic Physician Supervisor supervises Clinic Physicians and Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistants in the performance of their clinical duties in a Primary Care Clinic which is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The incumbent develops, leads and directs medical services provided by those supervised as well as the Quality Improvement Program, and also provides direct medical care as a Clinic Physician. Serving as a member of the department's management/supervisory team, the Clinic Physician Supervisor assists management in the establishment, maintenance and review of medical policies and procedures for clinical services and ensures that the clinic meets medically related regulatory and legal requirements.The ideal candidate will have the skill and ability to:Accurately apply current medical practicesEffectively coordinate with non-County medical systems such as the Kaiser Medical System and the California State PrisonProvide medical consultation with a variety of personnel in other County organizations such as mental health clinics, jails, and child welfare servicesIntegrate complex medical-legal issues with clinic practices and proceduresThe eligible list created as a result of this recruitment will be used to fill full-time and part-time regular, limited-term or extra-help positions as vacancies occur, or the need arises.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSTraining And Experience:Medical Degree (Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)) from an accredited college or university.ANDSuccessful completion of a Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Preventive Medicine or equivalent residency program that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).ANDTwo years of professional level experience in a clinical/medical practice performing responsible patient evaluations and treatment of clients from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.Additional education or training in public health services, public administration and/or clinic management is desirable LICENSING/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTSCurrent and active license to practice medicine in the State of California issued by the Board of Medical Examiners; ANDPossession of a valid certification by a specialty board in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Preventive Medicine or equivalent that is recognized by the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association; ANDValid and current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license; ANDClass C California Driver's License.Click here for the 'Clinic Physician Supervisor' Job DescriptionSELECTION PROCESS7/11/2025 - Deadline to submit application and any required documents for first application review.8/8/2025 - Deadline to submit application and any required documents for next application review.Based on the information provided in the application documents, the qualified applicants may be invited for further examination and will either be pre-scheduled by the Department of Human Resources or be invited to self-schedule.
