Kind of Work Under the general supervision of the Health Coordinator, the purpose of this position is to provide non-invasive medical services to the HS B-5 Program children and the staff. Employees in this classification provide for the care, treatment and general welfare of children, provide administrative support to services of the HS B-5 Program, and assist the Health Coordinator in meeting the requirements of the Head Start Performance Standards and perform related work as directed. This position is an essential, emergency duty status worker and may not be relieved of duty when the Parish President or his designee recommends a voluntary or mandatory evacuation of Jefferson Parish. Position requires driving of a personal vehicle, thus possession of a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and personal automobile with minimum liability insurance available for business use (business travel is reimbursed on a mileage basis) will be given preference. Minimum Qualifications For Admission to ExaminationPossession of a current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Louisiana.Note: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse from the Louisiana State Board of Nursing is acceptable.NOTE: Must be able to pass a state background check with no felony or misdemeanor convictions.
