Senior Specialist Embedded Software Engineer / Deputy Chief Software Engineer

L3Harris Technologies, Inc., is looking for a motivated Software Engineer to support the development of Software Defined Radio (SDR) and Electronic Countermeasure (ECM) products used to protect soldiers and diplomats across the globe. Work with industry professionals through the complete software development process including requirements generation, architecture and design, implementation, and system integration and validation. Essential Functions
Lead/participate in the software development efforts on various applications for special communication and software-defined radio systems/devices Manage customer interactions and give presentations Understand different personality types and lead Demonstrate a composed demeanor and the ability to remain poised under pressure Work closely with system and test engineers throughout the software design/development life cycle Experience with design, development, and testing of object-oriented software in C/C++ and Python Perform software/hardware integration during software development and unit testing Knowledge of design patterns and their practical uses Experience with embedded development targeting Linux DevOps/DevSecOps exposure Document software design and participate in design and code reviews Analyze results from simulation or real data to identify root causes and trends Qualifications
Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science or other related technical discipline with 4-6 years experience or Master's degree and 2-4 year's experience. In lieu of degree, 10 years of software experience. 4 to 8 years of professional C++ language software development experience. Secret or Top Secret Clearance Preferred Additional Skills
Intermediate or better knowledge of MySQL database, Linux Driver Development, Python, Git, Jira/Confluence, Jenkins, Cross Compilers, Database, Xilinx Zynq / Vivado SDK, Multi-Threaded and distributed systems, Comfortable with lab equipment (Oscilloscopes / Spec-A / Sig-Gen), Education and/or background in the electronic warfare domain, Strong problem-solving and software debugging skills, Ability to multitask across multiple projects/initiatives.
