The Unit Manager will be in charge of the daily operations in providing care to medical/surgical/telemetry patients. Manages the provision of adequate and competent staffing. Addresses issues that affect desired patient outcomes. Ensures departmental compliance with regulatory and The Joint Commission requirements. Monitors and adheres to annual hospital operating budget. Implements cost-effective strategies in staffing and supply management decision. Assists staff in providing patient care and services as needed. What Qualifications You Will Need

Education/Certifications/Licenses: Graduate of a Nursing Program from an accredited school; BSN required. Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana. CPR for Healthcare Providers to be completed within 30 days of hire. ACLS to be completed within 180 days of hire. Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a RN in Med/Surg/Tele. 2 years of leadership experience such as Charge Nurse, House Supervisor, etc. Rapides Regional Medical Center is a 350+ bed hospital and ER in Alexandria, Louisiana.
