Job Description: Support a greenfield deployment of networking infrastructure across a university and hospital system, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity for police and public safety departments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain a
greenfield
Arista network infrastructure Deploy and manage networking technologies across multiple campus locations Configure and maintain network devices including switches, routers, and firewalls Support security initiatives, including building security protocols behind a Palo Alto firewall Work with Cisco technologies as part of network security and integration efforts Optimize and troubleshoot network performance, ensuring seamless communication Collaborate with public safety and law enforcement teams to support secure data transmission Requirements:
Must-Haves: Network Infrastructure/Architecture Experience: Greenfield development - designing, implementing, and maintaining networks (Arista or Cisco) Expertise in routing protocols:
IP, EIGRP, Frame Relay, RIPv2, VLANs, Ethernet, ACLs Strong foundation in routing protocol migration, ISP connectivity, subnetting, and topology
Firewall/Security Expertise: Palo Alto firewall configuration and network security best practices
Hands-On Configuration Experience: Routers, switches, CSU/DSUs, content management switches, caching devices, firewalls, VPNs, wireless controllers, and access points
Education: Bachelor's Degree (preferred in a relevant field)
Soft Skills: Team player, adaptable, strong communicator, and passionate about networking & security
Nice-to-Haves: Arista network architecture experience CCNP certification
