Job Description
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking an intermediate skilled Software Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of critical enterprise applications. The developer will collaborate closely with UX designers, analysts, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software solutions using modern technologies and frameworks such as C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular, and Oracle.
This role requires hands-on experience in full stack software development and familiarity with Agile methodologies. The position is full-time and fully onsite in Austin, Texas.

Responsibilities: •Design, develop, test, and modify complex software components using C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular, and Oracle. •Develop APIs, stored procedures, and backend logic with Web API and PL/SQL. •Conduct unit and integration testing; write test scripts and debug software. •Analyze requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications. •Collaborate with team members to plan development activities and communicate status. •Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and perform performance tuning. •Contribute to documentation including technical specs and user manuals. •Participate in Agile/Scrum activities and code reviews. •Work with cross-functional teams including technical support and trainers.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications : • 5+ years
of hands-on experience with: •C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, and RESTful services •Angular development (TypeScript, Angular CLI, RxJS, component architecture) •PL/SQL and Oracle Database •Coding, testing, debugging, and production support •Developing complex business logic and processes •Creating test plans and executing unit tests •Strong interpersonal and communication skills •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications : • 2+ years
of familiarity with enterprise software architecture and information management methodologies •Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies •Knowledge of corporate information security practices and industry standards

Work Location & Schedule : • Location : 701 W 51st Street, Austin, TX 78751 • Work Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (excluding state holidays) • Position Type : Onsite only (Local Texas candidates within 50 miles of Austin) •May require occasional work during evenings, weekends, or holidays with pre-approval •No relocation or remote options; travel and living expenses are the candidate's responsibility
